Brandi Berg Leaving the Foundation to join the President’s Staff
Brandi Berg will be leaving the University of Alaska Foundation to join the University President’s staff. While we will miss working with Brandi on a daily basis, having her join the President’s staff means she will be right next door and available to help guide her successor through the transition.

RI Arlington has been engaged in Phase II of their contract to assist us in searching for the EDAS. In addition to actively seeking prospective candidates by way of individual inquiry, advertising for the position will be placed in the Chronicle of Higher Education, the Chronicle of Philanthropy, on various CASE web sites and in UAKjobs. Duplicate Degrees Removed from RE
This week, we finally completed a project in RE to remove all the duplicate educational relationships between individuals and UA campuses. This means that you will no longer waste time looking at three different relationship records on the same individual only to see they all tell you that the individual was a 1952 matriculate at UAF!

UAF Hosts Representatives from Shell
UAF successfully hosted representatives from Shell on their campus on March 24th. The day was filled with the sharing of information and identification of ways to collaborate on current and future projects. The best example is when both parties (UAF and Shell) identified they both have sound testing equipment in the Beaufort Sea and discussed ways to protect and help one another with their sound testing activity. This meeting represents the beginnings of an ongoing relationship with Shell that will last well into the future.
Special kudos to Emily Drygas at UAF who flawlessly planned and implemented the tour. Her professionalism, sense of humor, detailed attention and UA dedication was evident throughout the process AND to the tour participants. UA is fortunate and proud to have Emily on our team!
UAA will be hosting a similar tour on their campus during the month of April. Stay tuned for updates from this tour.
