A planned gift is any gift made through a donor's estate planning instrument such as a will or trust, or is any irrevocable gift in which the donor retains an interest (such as ones which provide lifetime income payments to the donor).

Legacy Society

Donors who make planned gifts to the university are recognized as members of the University of Alaska Legacy Society and are highlighted in the Foundation's annual report on Charitable Giving. Foundation for the Future

The Foundation also publishes twice annually Foundation for the Future, a newsletter designed to inform members of the Legacy Society as well as other friends and alumni of the university of developments and opportunities in the broad area of planned giving.
