the members of the Creating Alaska Advisory Board met at the University of Alaska, the site of the 1955-56 Alaska Constitutional Convention.
The meeting was a chance for the creators of Alaska Statehood to discuss their legacy and how they felt the upcoming milestones should best be commemorated. The meeting was also a chance for old friends and colleagues to gather and reminisce.
Discussed at the meeting were the plans of the University for the fiftieth anniversary of the Alaska State Constitution, an overview of the university's archives and materials and the course of action for the coming years.
The board will meet again in November of 2004.
