Project Description
The Employee Termination Workflow project uses Workflow to aid in automating and streaming the manual processes involved in ending a job record in Banner as well as providing notification to affected departments across the employees campus.
The employee termination process consists of three elements:
- Termination Entry - termination information entered in Banner by PPA/CCC
- HR Job Termination (HRJT) - ends current and future active jobs for employee via the electronic approval (EPAF) process; sends email to appropriate contacts
- HR System Termination (HRST) - performs full system termination (includes collecting outstanding balances, final pay, and ending deduction; sends email to appropriate contacts)
Implementation Benefits
- Replaces a time-consuming manual process often involving carrying a paper form from department to department
- Increase the consistency and timeliness of processing employee terminations
- Minimize the delay and other problems associated with routing paper termination forms
- The employee (or a department representative) will no longer need to manually verify clearance information by phone, foot, or mail
- Minimize vendor payment adjustments for employee benefits
- Increased communication with MAUs and Departments across the UA system
- Improved Compliance with UA Security process
